Mathew Henning


Mathew is a licensed landscape architect and landscape contractor in the state of California.

He has operated a design/build landscape architectural business since 1982, intermixed with teaching and doctoral study in the department of Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley, from which he earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in landscape architecture, as well as a master's in city planning.

His love of fine craftsmanship and evocative, yet functional, design inspires his everyday practice.



Heather Anderson

Heather graduated with a bachelor's in architecture, with a focus on landscape architecture and horticulture, from UC Berkeley.

She practiced architecture and landscape architecture with small Bay Area firms for 10 years, prior to partnering with Mathew in 1999.

Her experience in architecture strongly informs her design approach, as does a lifelong interest in plants and gardening, and a desire to increase appreciation for native and Mediterranean plants.
